Akihiko Yamagishi

Born in Gunma, Japan. Graduated from Senzoku Gakuen University, Faculty of Music. Completed the Shobi Diploma Course at the Tokyo Conservatoire. Studied tuba under Fumio Kusaka, Ikumitsu Tado and Hiroyuki Yasumoto, and has participated in recordings for NHK's historical dramas, morning dramas and film music. Member of the Siena Wind Orchestra. In addition to teaching clinics throughout Japan, he has been a jury member of brass band competitions and ensemble contests. Conducts numerous amateur brass bands.
