Trombonist with Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten – The Original

Gerd Fink is a versatile German trombonist and has been principal trombonist with Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten – The Original since 2001. He discovered his musical roots in brass music early on in the Allgäu region. After studying at the Richard Strauss Conservatory and the University of Music in Munich, he turned to jazz and performed in renowned big bands such as those of Max Greger, Hugo Strasser, and Thilo Wolf. As a sought-after studio and live musician, he has worked with artists like Udo Lindenberg and Engelbert and has performed on stages including Carnegie Hall. Fink is also active as a workshop instructor for big band and brass music, teaches at the Geretsried Music School, and leads the MONaco Big Band. His stylistic range spans traditional brass music, jazz, pop, and dance music. With passion and professionalism, he is a key figure in the German brass scene.
