Flugelhornist of the Egerländer Musikanten – The Original

Flugelhorn player and trumpeter Franz Tröster captivates audiences with his warm, full sound and expressive musicality. After attending a music-focused high school, he studied at the Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca (Klausenburg) from 1982 to 1986, graduating with a diploma in trumpet performance. During his studies, he served as principal trumpet with both the State Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra in Cluj-Napoca. International acclaim followed with solo performances in venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and at the Music Festival in Castellanza/Milan. From 1990 to 1999, he was principal flugelhornist with Ernst Mosch and has continued in the same role with Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten. As a soloist, studio musician, conductor, and dedicated educator, he actively promotes brass and chamber music both in performance and through teaching.
